Meet our Staff

The School and its educators are fully licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts - Early Education and Care (EEC) and the requisite local licensing Boards.

Melanie Sabtchev

Melanie is the Head of School at Theophany School. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Literature and Education Licensure from Fransiscan University and a Master's of Education in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus in history from Boston College. Melanie has thirteen years of teaching experience in public and private schools, experience as a mentor/master teacher to junior faculty, and experience as a practicum supervisor, evaluating student teachers for The Lynch School of Education. She attends Saint George Antiochian Church in West Roxbury. In her free time, Melanie enjoys baking, especially recipies from the Balkans, time with family, writing/blogging, and travel. Contact Ms. Melanie »

Marybeth Hogan

Marybeth is Director of Education and a Preschool Teacher at Theophany School. She recently moved from Cape Cod to Walpole with her husband and son. Marybeth earned her Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education from Fitchburg State University and her Master of Education in Learning Disabilities from Rivier University. She has experience teaching children in private and public schools in both the early childhood and special education fields. Vicky Hamos

Vicky is the Kindergarten teacher at Theophany School. She grew up in Medfield Massachusetts, and recently moved back from spending some time in New York City. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and Spanish, which she received from Bridgewater State University. She is licensed to teach grades K-6 and is also certified in Early Education. Vicky attends St. Mark of Ephesus Orthodox Cathedral in Westwood, MA, where she both attended and taught Greek School in the past. In her spare time, Vicky likes to travel and go on adventures. Sonia Fitopoulos

Sonia is the Administrative Assistant at Theophany School. She attended Bridgewater State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Social Work. She attends St. Mark of Ephesus Orthodox Cathedral in Westwood, where she teaches Greek School and Church School on weekends.
